How To Destroy Angels
'The Space In Between'
Free Music Video Download

Trent Reznor became the subject of rumour and speculation regarding a newly formed band called How To Destroy Angels. Reznor had left the hugely successful band Nine Inch Nails and married the front woman from West Indian Girl, Mariqueen Maandig. The rumours surrounding the new band started when Reznor posted on his Twitter account "1st official day of work in the studio". After this information, the website for How To Destroy Angels appeared, which featured a picture of a woman who looks uncannily like Mariqueen. This sent the rumour mill into action and sparked speculation as to Reznor's involvement in the new band.

However, it has now been announced that Reznor and his wife Mariqueen are behind How To Destroy Angels along with fellow band member Atticus Ross. The name for the band appears to have been taken from a single of the same name by the band Coil, of which Reznor is known to be an avid fan. Their website is now more up to date and features several music videos including a free music video of the track ‘The Space In Between’. The band will be releasing their self titled, six track EP this summer and information has been leaked online regarding the track listing. No official details have been released, however, the leaked information has spread across the internet and is gaining great interest. The track listing is believed to include the tracks ‘A Drowning’, ‘Parasite’, ‘Fur-Lined’, ‘BBB’, ‘The Believers’ and ‘The Space In Between’, which is the free music video featured on the site.

The free music video featured on ‘How To Destroy Angels’ website for their new track ‘The Space In Between’ can be seen as a sample of the music to come from the band. The music video featured, although quite short, is not lacking in graphic content and features itself around a bloody murder scene. Mariqueen is featured as a blood covered, murdered corpse in a hotel room. She sings soft and haunting vocals whilst she remains limp and stares resolutely in perfect imitation of death. For a new band the video is very good quality and the scenes are well thought through, along with the effects used. It is definitely a video worth watching, which can easily be seen as it is available as a free music video above.

The rumours surrounding the new band and the release of their six track EP has caused quite a stir. It is known that the band will be releasing their new EP in the summer, however, the track listing is still awaiting confirmation. The free music video for the new single which is available should be a good indication of what is to be expected from the band. The featured track ‘The Space In Between’ maintains some industrial sounds but the haunting vocals are sure to set the band in a different direction from the hugely successful Nine Inch Nails. Overall, the rumours and speculations only contribute to the excitement and anticipation of the release of the EP this summer.
