Eminem 'We Made You' Free Song and Free Music Video

Eminem, originally named Marshall Bruce Mather's, was born in October 1972. Eminem first came to worldwide prominence in 1999 with his album 'The Slim Shady LP', which Eminem portrayed as his alter ego. The critically acclaimed, Grammy award winning album, sold all over the world, and was probably the first time that rap had gained a worldwide audience. His second album, 'The Marshall Mathers LP' holds the record as the fastest selling hip hop album of all time. 'The Eminem Show', won Grammy awards, and in 2002, Eminem made his film acting debut, winning critical acclaim in the film '8 Mile'. Eminem also won an Academy Award for the film's theme song.

After touring in 2005, Eminem revealed that he would be taking time out to spend more time with his daughter. Now Eminem is back with a new album, 'Relapse', featuring the single 'We Made You', which is already gaining a lot of airplay, accompanied by a spoof video. The award-winning artist who has already won nine Grammy awards has been off the music radar for a number of years, and people are already questioning whether his time has gone, but the recent popularity of the single suggest that there is still a lot of interest in the artist.

Eminem songs are a mixture of sometimes poignant, often humorous, very often angry lyrics about his life growing up, and his views on the present crop of artists, who would often be mercilessly lampooned in his videos. Politicians were also on the receiving end of some of his lyrics, and Eminem was never less than controversial. He often appeared to be a complicated individual with the talent to write some of the most hard-hitting lyrics about his dysfunctional childhood, but who could induce laughter with his attitude towards some of his peers.

Eminem - Free Song from 'Relapse'

The question for Eminem now is, has he been away too long to regain the popularity and status that he once enjoyed? The 'Relapse' album, released on May 19th 2009, appears to be creating interest, but not anywhere near the levels of interest that an Eminem album used to elicit. The single 'We Made You', jumped in at number 9 in the Billboard charts. It takes shots at celebrities like Jessica Simpson and the Kardashian family, and even Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, but it does not yet have the feel of an Eminem on top form.

There are new kids on the block who probably grew up listening to Eminem, but now appear to perhaps have more credibility. Some, like Asher Roth have put their debt to Eminem to music, and although many of them do not create the excitement that the young Eminem used to create, there is no doubt that Eminem could be in danger of falling foul of being out of the spotlight for too long. His public may have moved on further than Eminem has.
